General rules for the design of metal exterior insulation boards for thermal insulation

1 The design of the external thermal insulation project of metal exterior wall insulation board shall be selected with suitable external thermal insulation system, and the structure and composition of the system shall not be changed.

2 The thermal and energy-saving design of the external thermal insulation project shall comply with the following provisions in addition to the provisions of Article 3.0.6 of this regulation:

1) The inner surface temperature of the insulation layer should be higher than 0 °C;

2) The external thermal insulation system shall cover the heat bridge parts around the outer opening of the door and window frame, the parapet wall, the closed balcony and the pick-up member;

3) The external thermal insulation system should consider the thermal bridge effect of metal fixtures and support members.

3 The external thermal insulation project shall be designed with sealing and waterproof structure to ensure that water will not penetrate into the insulation layer and the base layer, and important parts shall have detailed drawings. Horizontal or sloping picking locations and areas extending below the ground should be waterproofed. And should be well sealed and waterproof design.

4 The external thermal insulation project should be done at the edge of the mouth and at the foot. Decorative seams, four corners of doors and windows, and yin and yang corners should be provided with local reinforcement nets.
